This session will explore how smart technologies, both in pumps and lighting, can significantly enhance building energy performance, operational control, and long-term savings. We will discuss the general benefits of smart pumps, including increased energy efficiency, improved hydronic system performance, and enhanced control capabilities. Attendees will gain insight into how these advanced solutions can optimize operations and reduce energy consumption across a variety of system types. Then we will introduce Luminaire Level Lighting Controls (LLLC), an advanced lighting solution with integrated sensors directly into each fixture. LLLC enables real-time data collection, zone control, daylight harvesting, occupancy response, and advanced scheduling. These capabilities not only deliver energy savings but also support maintenance planning, space utilization, and future-ready building management. This presentation offers a comprehensive overview of how smart pumps and LLLC technologies function individually and together to unlock smarter, scalable solutions for energy efficiency and building performance in retrofit and new construction projects.
