David Terry, President, National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO)
David Terry is the President of the National Association of State Energy Officials and has worked with NASEO in a variety of capacities since 1996. Mr. Terry leads NASEO's policy actions and programs in support of the 56 governor-designated state and territory energy directors and their offices. NASEO communicates the states' views on virtually all national energy issues. Mr. Terry has participated in governor-led policy meetings, testified before U.S. Congressional Committees and presented at White House and international energy forums. Mr. Terry has 25 years of experience working on a range of energy issues for such organizations as the Governors’ Wind and Solar Energy and Coalition and Energy Services Coalition. Prior to working in the energy area, Mr. Terry was researcher at the National Academy of Sciences and a statistical analyst for a consumer products market research firm. He received a BA degree from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio, and he has completed graduate coursework in statistics and marketing at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia.
Ameer Faquir, Director of Facilities and Fleet Management, Adams County
Ameer is a dynamic and seasoned professional facilities management leader and is currently serving as Director of Facilities and Fleet Management for Adams County. Ameer serves as the asset owner for Adams County’s 40, plus facilities, including the Colorado Air and Space Port (CASP), in the areas of vertical design and facility construction, landside facility maintenance and fleet management.
Prior to joining Adams County, Ameer served as Denver International Airport’s (DIA/DEN) Facility Management Director for 3 years and where he was an integral part of DIA’s senior leadership team. As the DIA Facilities Director, Ameer had vast facility responsibilities, including an MEP and Control Systems team that included the management of a massive central utility plant and over 27 thousand airfield lighting fixtures.
Prior to moving to Colorado, Ameer served as the Facilities Manager for King County, WA in Seattle for 13 years. He also worked for the City of Los Angeles for over 20 years, with his last position being Deputy Director at LA’s Hyperion Wastewater Treatment Plant over maintenance and facilities, before moving on to King County/Seattle.
